Saint Joseph School Board
St. Joseph School was founded in 1907 and has served children from towns surrounding the Greater Vernon/Rockville area. It is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. It is affiliate of the National Catholic Education Association. St. Joseph School offers a full day Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Program in addition to Grades 1-8. Our faculty, staff, and parent volunteers are fully committed to an educational enviroment based on Gospel values. 

 St. Joseph School was awarded the Untied States Department of Education NCLB Blue Ribbon School Award in 2006. This award honors schools which reflect goals of the nation's education reforms for high standards and accountability. St Joseph School was recognized as a school that is in the top 10% of schools in the nation in reading and math as measured by standardized testing. The award also recognizes the curriculum and instruction, professional development, and parent involvement of the school.

 Parish Involvement

We are an active part of the St. Joseph Parish communtiy. Our students take an active part in liturgical services, sacramental programs, devotions and processions, children's choir, altar service, and Children of Mary.

After school care is available for a nominal fee. The program is offered on a daily, as needed basis.

 

Home and School Association

Our parent organization is an integral part of the school's spiritual enviroment. Parents are encouraged to take an active roll in the fundraising, classroom participation, and general development of the St. Joseph School community.
